Local, Seasonal and Simple
At Stone Soup Inn, there is no written menu. We offer a surprise 5 course tasting menu for $65, which may change daily based on the availability of seasonal local ingredients. We try to discover the flavours of the Cowichan by cooking only with things that are available seasonally in this region, with few exceptions. We pride ourselves in doing so which contributes to the local community among other benefits. Every week, the chef gathers the ingredients from farms and markets in the area and we and also grow things on our own small on-site farm and forage in the nearby forest. Everything is made from scratch and is simply prepared, with a focus on timing, restraint and the wines & ciders of the area. Wine paring for the nights menu is offered for $35. Although we only offer a prix fixe (set) menu, should one require the menu personalized due to aversions or dietary restrictions, we will happily accommodate you.
